Group Executive Chairman
Martin is a founding director of Exception and also serves as the Group Executive Chairman. His primary focus is the strategic growth and development of both the Exception and Waracle businesses. Martin has extensive technology industry experience and has served in a number of senior positions across varied industries including Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Consulting and Professional Services
A founding director of Exception, Alan has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company since it was formed in 2002. Alan has director responsibility for our consulting and delivery services and provision of overall customer service. With over 20 years-experience on both the client and supply side of the industry, coupled with the ability to draw on his Financial Services, Government and Utilities expertise, Alan is ideally placed to ensure that the services delivered meet or exceed customer expectations.
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Scott leads the business. Scott has a background spanning Executive and Board level roles in ICL, Fujitsu Services and Newell & Budge. Scott is also a Director of Young Scot as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Society for encouragement of Arts and of the IoD. He is a founding member of Generation Science and has previously been a member of the Digital Scotland Task Force, a Director of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, a Director of ScotlandIS and a member of the Council of CBI Scotland.
Group Finance Director
David is responsible for the management of the Company’s financial and commercial functions and plays a key role in the strategic development of the business. David has over 30 years-experience working in the sector, and prior to joining Exception he held senior finance positions with IBM and ICL.
Raymond has held a number of high profile board positions in Scotland including, Chairman of the IoD, board member of Young Scot, and member of the Government’s Skills Utilisation Leadership Group. He is currently on the boards of a number of ambitious and growing SMEs, as well as being a member of the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) board of management and member of the government’s National Economic Forum. Raymond worked for Microsoft for over 12 years and was the corporation’s director for Scotland for five and a half years.
