Exception has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Alasdair Hendry as the company’s new Head of Transformation & Consulting. The Board of Directors has also committed a further seven-figure investment to expand the business’s core digital offerings.  

Alasdair will hold responsibility for Digital Transformation, Software Development and its DevOps practice across the UK, and joins the business from Sopra Steria, where he spent over 10 years in various roles including his most recent as Head of Regional Digital Transformation.

The appointment of Alasdair is part of a larger strategic plan which will see an increased level of investment across Exception’s digital service offerings. The business has seen its number of staff grow to over 250 people across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Alasdair Hendry spoke of his eagerness to get started at Exception: “I am thoroughly looking forward to my new challenge at Exception. The technical teams and consultants here have a brilliant track-record of delivering transformation programs across Financial Services and the Public Sector and I am keen to continue those successes.”

Exception reported a turnover of over £28M for year ending December 2017, up £2M on last year, is one of Scotland’s largest indigenous Digital IT companies.
