This comprehensive tool, which builds on top of the recently announced Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO) Digital Readiness Check, is designed to help public sector policymakers and technologists ensure that new and existing policy can be implemented effectively through modern digital delivery channels.

This online tool, available at no cost, aligns with the four principles of CDDO’s check. It enables greater validation and a more robust evaluation through follow-up questions. At the completion of the check, an immediate digital readiness score is calculated to provide an instant snapshot of digital readiness.

In its roadmap for digital and data (updated September 2023), the CDDO highlights that the public sector lags behind in digital capabilities compared to the private sector, often resulting in slower, less efficient services.
