Background
The Digital Evidence Sharing Capability (DESC) initiative is a collaboration between the Scottish Government, Police Scotland, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, and the Defence community and aims to transform the way that digital evidence is managed throughout criminal investigations and prosecutions.
How We Help
Exception undertook a discovery exercise, investigating potential technology solutions that could be used across the various organisations involved in the chain of evidence management. We also ensured that any procurement would meet both the Governments standards required for Digital First and the necessary Gateway Reviews.
Following this exercise, the Justice Directorate were able to go to market, confident that they were clear on their requirements and knowing what type of solution would be fit for purpose.
